You know when you take photos in the wind, your hair always has a mind of it’s own… but that is not what this post is about. I have learnt so much about myself since I have had to do a lot on my own and not have to check up with someone if it’s okay to do so.
I believe that everyone has a moment in life where they have to put themselves first, fight for what you believe in or simply just be you. Some people won’t like it what so ever but you are not living for other people or to please them. There will always be comments, judgement and negativity but it’s how you deal with it. That is when you truly find you…
Set goals for yourself, short-term and long-term; get a flat, buy a car, find a man/women, have kids, be successful, do a shoot with a famous person, yes you may not get to them as soon as you may hope but never push them a side until it has been met. Make a list of silly things to do, e.g; take a random selfie with your crush, do the trust test in a shopping mall, try something new (clothing or food) have your face painted as your favourite character, basically do things to make you smile.
The reason I am posting this is we only get one life and we need to live it fully. We may regret not ever going for things we have always wanted to do. Do it for you not to please other because then we are not living for ourselves but to please them (whoever them may be) It’s your life so live it!!!
I have come to love this South African brand – DutchAfro. If you have not heard of them you are clearly missing out!!! Plain, printed, long or short Tees are a must have. My sister and I did a shoot with some of the Tees sold at markets and online, here are some of them.
Long Tees – this can be worn with anything. Leggings, ripped jeans and for those hot summer days slip on a tight shorts to show off those legs.
Crew necks in cream and yellow – we just added a little twist, tucking them in to create a different style of wearing a normal T. If the T is plain add some detail with a printed shorts or skirt to stand out.
Printed Vest – this is my favourite, not only do I love the print but the colour too, pair it with a daring white pants or shorts and you will be the talk of the town.
DutchAfro is not only an amazing company but the feel of the clothing is amazing, hugs your body and can be worn all day without a sweat. Great choices goes into the fabric and each item made.
If you would like to know more check them out at Dutch Afro Clothing you will not be disappointed.
I have heard and seen this saying for so many weeks now “No – one can make you happier than yourself” I have sat and thought about it for a while. I mean is has basically been in my face everyday… I have always wanted someone to put a smile on my face but once the smile fades, I’m back to where I started. Instead of just making myself happy.
I have always made other people smile and put my issues aside. I have come to learn that if I continue to do that I will basically fade away or just bottle things up way to much and blow up sooner than later. Lately I wake up in the morning and look into the mirror and say “hey beautiful, don’t forget to smile”. It really has helped me a lot. When you smile it makes you feel and look so much more welcoming to others and to yourself at times. Remember your attitude will filter out to people, it can make or break relationships and friendships.
This photo shoot really helped me find me again, be crazy and get away from all the craziness and just believe in myself. Believe that yes my blog might be small but it’s totally for me to be me and I am going to do just that.
Believe in yourself and you will get further than you expect…
High waisted and crop tops are my new favourite thing.
Jeans – Mr Price Crop top – Cotton on Kimono – Cotton on
Heels – Cotton on Rings – Lovisa Watch – Casio
I think I have some obsessing with High waisted jeans and I love how it pulls everything together in this look. This jeans just has the right amount of rips and the colour stands out. I paired it with a simple grey crop top and a black kimono I bought at Cotton on. I just love it when you have nothing to wear but yet something to simple looks so good. I added a black wedge to dress up the look, still keeping it simple with a kick. Simple Gold jewellery to spice it up and look more elegant. I think I got right.
Never be scared if can rock a high-waisted short or jeans just do it…
Keep it simple yet elegant and you will have got a great look ❤
I had an amazing trip to town the other day with a great photographer by the name of Gidion. We had been planning to do a shoot for ages and finally had the same time off and this was basically our day.
There are so many fun places to take pictures in town and this day we kinda just went crazy. I would just sit or stand in the middle of nowhere and it just worked out. I really do miss modelling and if I had the opportunity to do it again I would do it in a heartbeat ❤
Jersey – Jay jays Jacket – Hello again (boys section) Sunnies – Lundun Eyewear Earrings – Lovisa

I know I normally talk about my outfit, however this post is all about these amazing pictures 🙂 I hope you like them as much as I do xx
Every moment can be captured, don’t ever forget that. Like the saying “a picture can say thousand words”. It really can hold so much to it so with that being said, capture every moment you can.
I hope you have an amazing festive season with friends and family, God bless xx
Summer is finally here and I couldn’t wait to feel the water between my toes 🙂 I am not a fan of the beach but sometimes I make an exception.
Bikini – Pick n Pay clothing Kimono – China Town Nails – Zanzi nails Glasses – Lundun Eyewear
I have been looking for a Full piece costume for a while and couldn’t wait to buy the one I am wearing in all these pictures 🙂 Pick n Pay clothing have some crazy colour costumes but when I saw this one I tried it on and went straight to the till, totally feel in love. It covers all the places I don’t wanna show and yes my tummy is a little out there but hey I think I look good he he. There wear at least 5 different ones in this style and there were many more beautiful patterns. If you are looking for one Pick n Pay is definitely worth a try. I added this white Kimono I bought at china town just to keep it classy and cover up while just having s stroll on the beach, it also helps when you don’t really wanna tan that much which is a bonus to me. There are so many colours to choose from I just got a white and dirty pink one. It is a great accessory and makes any outfit look good.
Can’t wait to see you guys on the beach strutting your stuff 🙂 remember you gorgeous and handsome so have fun and don’t worry about what other think #foodforthought
There are moments in a day when it’s just about to rain and those are my favourite, this day I decided to go walk around Pinelands and I found this place with amazing trees 🙂 so here are a few pictures of the fun I had being me..
Dress – Daniel Hector Cardigan – Factorie Boots – Cotton on
Watch – Casio Necklace – Lovisa
I have been wanting to wear a black tight dress for the longest time, but never had the chance to actually just do it. If you haven’t already noticed I love wearing black and it can always make a statement no matter wear you go. I paired this amazing Daniel Hector dress with my black boots I grabbed at Cotton on. I have been dying to get a pair of boots that wear easy to wear and good quality, of course when I saw these I almost bought 4 pairs, a girl can never have enough shoes #blush If I could wear them everyday, I would. I liked how the dress could be comfy and have some style but not too much, if you know what I mean. Of cos I wanted to break my black on black with a caramel cardigan I got at Factorie on sale. I had a lot of Gold Jewellery on and the cardigan worked perfectly 🙂 Sometime a touch of gold makes everything just that much better.
I am just going to enjoy everyday to its fullest until those really hot days come along and all we will want to be is at the beach or swimming in a pool 🙂
