struggle is real…

You ever have a feeling that you stuck in something you feel you cannot get out of yet you know you shouldn’t be in it???

It could be a friendship, work place, hotel room or even a family gathering.

I have come to learn that you are the only person that can change that exact situation, no-one else can do it for you. You can be encouraged to move on and turn away, yet you hold the power to actually follow through with the advise given.

Ask yourself these questions :

  • Look at what is bad or not right about the situation
  • Find out what is keeping you there and why?
  • Would it be worth it in the long run?
  • What have people been saying to you, should I listen or just push it a side
  • Should I stay or should I go?
  • In which way will I benefit
  • Can I solve it or will it just get worse if I try?
  • Am I truly happy?

If most of the questions are answered in a negative way GET OUT, as you will be hurting yourself more than anything. To be honest we all deserve to be happy and never have to find ourselves in a situation where we are not ourselves or find that we are just trying to survive or get through the day.

Save yourself from the drama, you deserve better!!!!

I have come to love this South African brand  – DutchAfro. If you have not heard of them you are clearly missing out!!! Plain, printed, long or short Tees are a must have. My sister and I did a shoot with some of the Tees sold at markets and online, here are some of them.

Long Tees – this can be worn with anything. Leggings, ripped jeans and for those hot summer days slip on a tight shorts to show off those legs.

Crew necks in cream and yellow – we just added a little twist, tucking them in to create a different style of wearing a normal T. If the T is plain add some detail with a printed shorts or skirt to stand out.

Printed Vest – this is my favourite, not only do I love the print but the colour too, pair it with a daring white pants or shorts and you will be the talk of the town.

DutchAfro is not only an amazing company but the feel of the clothing is amazing, hugs your body and can be worn all day without a sweat. Great choices goes into the fabric and each item made.

If you would like to know more check them out at Dutch Afro Clothing you will not be disappointed.

I have heard and seen this saying for so many weeks now “No – one can make you happier than yourself” I have sat and thought about it for a while. I mean is has basically been in my face everyday… I have always wanted someone to put a smile on my face but once the smile fades, I’m back to where I started. Instead of just making myself happy.

I have always made other people smile and put my issues aside. I have come to learn that if I continue to do that I will basically fade away or just bottle things up way to much and blow up sooner than later. Lately I wake up in the morning and look into the mirror and say “hey beautiful, don’t forget to smile”. It really has helped me a lot. When you smile it makes you feel and look so much more welcoming to others and to yourself at times. Remember your attitude will filter out to people, it can make or break relationships and friendships.

This photo shoot really helped me find me again, be crazy and get away from all the craziness and just believe in myself. Believe that yes my blog might be small but it’s totally for me to be me and I am going to do just that.

Believe in yourself and you will get further than you expect…
